Passing Joy....

For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.
Sly as a fox, this simple joy crept into view early on a Saturday morning, and just as quickly slipped between the fence posts and was gone. A simple joy in red, a funny little guy that seemed to stop and smell ALL the roses in the garden! In no hurry in life, he roamed the backyard, his ears at attention, his eyes always moving. At the sound of my camera lens touching the glass on a deck door, he stopped, his eyes met mine...and in an instant he was gone. His joy was in what he left behind .....a glimpse into the soul of an animal that spoke with his eyes, stories to tell of his sighting, laughter at his flower sniffing antics and... a fleeting moment in time and a beautiful memory, captured through the lens of my Nikon camera.

Perhaps the saying is true..."it's all in the eye of the beholder".
You see your fox with appreciation through your eyes.
