Time rushes by, yet simple joys remind us of what is truly important!
This was a day well wasted! A day that reminded us that the true object of life is to play! A day that reminded us we grow old only when we stop playing! A day that left us grinning on the inside! This was a January day that found us full of simple joys....a day that showed us sometimes joy is found best in anothers joy.... and in the unexpected! This was a day of guilty pleasures.....sleeping in and real cream in our coffee, instead of the low fat alternative! A day started with cinnamon sugar bagels and a country drive while the rest of the world was at work! A day filled with sticky kisses from a tiny blonde ballerina and laughter at the crazy antics of feuding little boys! A day filled with the unexpected sight of dancing geese on ice capped waters! A joy filled donut of a day, topped with a scoop of joy in anothers joy...dreams coming true....joy at the end of long journey that will soon bring a new branch to this small family tree....this group of people who now find themselves related not by sharing the same last name....but by love! We are truly blessed....our lives are full of simple joys!

We have snow and sleet this morning therefore I am planning a day well wasted! My spouse refuses to play but I can usually bug him enough that he will smile and my craziness. It will be a good day of a delicious breakfast, hotdogs with chili for lunch, a little wine, some reading and/or movie watching. I'm ready to get into it. Thanks for the inspiration.
