Frosted

Winter is the king of showmen
Turning tree stumps into snow men
And houses into birthday cakes
And spreading sugar over lakes
Smooth and clean and frosty white
The world looks good enough to bite
That's the season to be young
Catching snowflakes on your tongue
Ogden Nash

January finds our world frosted!  Early winter mornings sparkle...the air is
filled with tiny diamonds the camera can't seem to pick up.  Simple joys are
plenty...muffled silence broken only by the call of the resident blue jays
reminding us we need to fill the feeder....and bright flashes of red as the  Northern
Cardinals leave the warmth of the ancient blue spruce and circle the feeders,
also in search of breakfast.  Perfect winter mornings for quick trips down
the drive with a camera, followed by just as quick a trip back to the
warmth of my rocking chair and coffee cup!
May your winter days also be frosted with joy!
