On February 2, in Cortland, Nebraska, the groundhog did NOT see his shadow. This is an occasion for joy! Of course, no one around here saw the groundhog either! Our usual winter white has been replaced by winter brown, and today I noticed that the days are growing longer again. Some would say there is very little beauty in winter, but I've learned that life isn't always beautiful....somedays, life just "is"! And sometimes, on one of those "life just is" days, you can happen upon a sight that makes your spirits soar! I'd like to thank the artist who left this sight to provide joy in the midst of this ordinary winter day.
