On a cold, but sunny February morning here in the midwest, we found a simple joy outside our own backdoor! Who'd have thought that in early February you'd find the brilliant purple of a crocus peeking it's head out of a ground usually frozen solid? What could we do but put on a coat and hook up the garden hose and give it a drink of water! What an unexpected joy it was to discover the colors of green and purple in a season filled with gray and brown and white!
