On a Lazy Afternoon

We are surrounded by simple joys. Some are easier to find than others. On that same lazy afternoon drive in search of Sandhill Cranes, we came upon this sight that had us laughing. If looks could talk, imagine the conversation this young animal would be having! This was an afternoon filled with simple joy...the sight of the snow flakes, the dance of the cranes, the tolerant glances from the cattle, the sounds of the wind in the fields and the call of the birds as they chattered while searching for their lunch, the tastes of warm blueberry scones and fresh hot coffee.......simple joys indeed.
