Somedays, with very little looking, you can find a simple joy where you least expect it. Snow covering the lower branches of a much loved blue spruce is suddenly touched by the sun and it comes alive with warmth and color. This beauty of a tree calls itself home to a multitude of sparrows, a lone blue jay, a pair of cardinals and the last 6 years worth of holiday lights.
