Joy in the Morning!

What I would have missed if I'd stayed in bed! With a steaming cup of coffee, my trusty Olympus and my little friend Gus, we headed out in search of joy on a January morning. This was a "see your breath" morning, crisp, clear and calm. I heard the sounds of a few early rising sparrows fighting the neighborhood squirrel over the remains of the bird seed in the feeders and the crunch of an old Ford pickups tires on the snow packed street that we live on.....and very little else. Today, if someone would ask me what makes me happy, I"d have to say...the sight of a January sunrise over a snow covered field . May you find the same simple joy in your life today
