Getting Where You're Going....

Lots of times you have to pretend to join a parade in which you're not really interested in order to get where you're going.
Christopher Darlington Morley

A parade of simple joy crossed my path today....and left a lasting impression as I rushed to get where I was going. Not an impression on the fender of my car.....but an impression on my heart! The simplicity, the beauty of this unexpected moment was music to my soul....the majesty of this vision an antidote to the stress of a long workday. I wondered at the silliness of this group...each trusting the one in front, following with blind faith across a dangerous roadway, each trying to outdo the other for the highest jump, yet perfectly spaced at intervals that seemed to be precisely measured, all communicating with glances and nudges, no harsh words or sounds to be heard. I sat in the silence of this winter day, window down, radio off, the soft hum of my little red Honda in the background, watching this unscheduled parade I had not planned to join...and found it got me just where I needed to be today!

Wow! Very cool. What did we ever do without digital cameras?
