Wordless tunes...

Hope

is the thing with feathers
that perches in the soul.
And sings the tune
without the words
and never stops at all.

Emily Dickinson
Whispers of hope on a winters day...sights and sounds that awaken the spirit deep in your soul and send it yearning.....searching...for signs of spring! And search we did on this balmy day just made for fooling seeds into sprouting, bulbs into blooming and birds into nesting. A dark and vibrant coffee kind of day....a day for windows down on a country road! A day packed full of hope.....hope in the sweet sounds of song... "10,000 Angels".... at a tender good-bye.... and hope in the sweet song from the first robins of the season at waters edge. Hope in the sight of a tiny, blonde granddaughter, dressed in pink and holding her grandfather's hand (and heart), heads bent together and oh so serious in their discussion over which new Fancy Nancy book to take home! Hope in knowing that the tune called spring lives just beneath the winter in this soul! Simple joy in a tune that runs deep and wordless and waiting....eagerly waiting! Come on spring!

It is so true that the birds singing brings us hope. I feed the birds here and love it when they sing.

Mary at Mary Writing Nook wrote of her gift yesterday of a cardinal singing while she walked her dog, Meeko. Now this beautiful picture and words by you. I think we are all hope that spring is just around the corner. Thanks for sharing, Peace
