Persistence...

With age comes wisdom and the vision to see that you simply must truly persist to succeed.....Paul R. Orshoski
Yet another chapter in the battle of man vs squirrel. I've decided that this persistent little fellow has won more than one battle...but the war is far from over! Spring has arrived....and seems to have made our Sam much bolder. We laugh at the trail of half eaten corn cobs left on the deck railing almost daily now. He sits boldly on the freshly washed bird bath...chattering at the chirping robins , dipping his well fed cheeks in the rain water, then spraying the flower bed with droplets as he shakes them off. He lingers longer in the sunshine on the pavement just outside our garage, as if daring us to drive over him.....and he knows we'll wait patiently until he scurries on his way. Yet more lessons in life from the simple joy I find in his antics..... lessons that speak of patience and determination and the value to be found in persistence. And that often the best way to win is to forget to keep score! May the best man...or squirrel....win!

I say Sam has won. He looks red instead of grey.
I think they like all God's creatures are great until they chew up something they should have left along.
Peace
