Remember your roots.
And celebrate them!

Each summer, this deep purple clematis climbs the trellis that arches our mail box...and I am again reminded of the real magic in life. Simple joy found in the everyday ordinary....the planting of the seeds, the taking hold of the roots...and the way life has of blooming into something so beautiful, it takes your breath away! Planted years ago, surviving in soil more gravel than dirt, she stands faithfully .... season after season... roots grown deep....vines grown thick and strong.........and much like those that faithfully tend her, she grows a little thicker through the middle each year... but continues to bloom brilliantly, even in the heat of a mid west summer....her magenta blooms fluttering in the warm summer breeze, welcoming us home from our daily travels. Such a gentle roots and blooms....a reminder that roots...with a touch of magic, touched with time and tending.... let us blossom into who we were meant to be!

What a conincidence...I am getting the whole Roots movie series and here you blog about roots. It is true, they run deep and even pruning won't end it. Thanks for your blooms into our lives......
