Through the eyes...

Seek the wisdom of the ages, but look at the world through the eyes of a child.
Ron Wild
A day well spent, viewing the world through the eyes of a child! A day filled with simple joys....and the reminder that there are things the eye can show that the mouth could never speak! A summer day just made for tying up your tennies, slathering mustard on a hot dog and slurping the juice from the soggy sides of a snow cone! Simple joy lives there... in the lush green plants that line freshly mulched paths. Simple joy laughs there... in the sun dappled fields filled with giraffes and llamas and on elephant hills. There is joy to be found there... in the whistle of the zoo trains and the strong musky odors from the goat pens. And joy to be heard there... in the laughter as the carousel of carved zoo animals spins round and round, up and down...filled with giggles and chatter and love. Simple joy to be found in the grace of the gentle hippos...gliding like ballerinas through water with deep brown eyes open...a reminder that the eyes are indeed a window to the soul, and that no matter what you look like, you are beautiful to someone! A day well spent indeed...where the wild things live ...in pure, simple joy!
