On this romantic day of red hearts and pink roses, of candlelit dinners and sparkling diamond jewelry, I found a very special simple joy waiting for me. A message...spelled out in hearts, and left to be the first thing I saw at the end of a long work shift. The cost? Very little. The value? Priceless! Celebrating Valentines Day year after year always includes some rough spots. Wishes get forgotten............parents die..............jobs demand....romance fades.....children grow and leave the nest. But simple moments, simple joys soon replace the romance and friendship weaves its fingers into your heart. And little acts of kindness like messages in candy hearts become so much more important than the flash of a diamond or the sight of delivered flowers. May you also find the sight of a candy heart message....or an "I Luv U" drawn in the snow outside your window....may it catch your heart on Valentines Day!
