Fall mosaic...

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.

Stanley Horowitz

Out my backdoor lies a mosaic of color. Fall is here....simple joy is to be found in the crispness of the air, in clear blue skies, in falling leaves of red and orange and gold, in the taste of honey crisp apples, in the scent of warm cider, in the warmth of a handmade sweater on your shoulders, in the sounds at a grandchild's football game, and in the sight of roadside sunflowers turning their faces to the sun......and Halloween candy filling the isles at the local grocery! Fall will always be a time of new beginnings for me....the season of new pencils and Big Chief tablets, new classes, new teachers, new friends, new colors, new clothes....the season of new chances ...the season of opening the doors to your home and the windows to your heart....and beginning again. Let the world plot and plan and fill their heads with New Years resolutions in winter...each year I start again in autum....my season of simple joy.
