Glow

It was a day filled with the glow of ordinary things

These are the days that glow. Days that grow shorter, but sweeter. Days filled with the glow of ordinary things....fat orange pumpkins, catching the shadows of evening light , then giving way to dreams of rich pumpkin pies...the magic of cinnamon candles, flickering their way into the lengthening evenings of November.....vegetable soup from an old family recipe simmering all day in the crock pot .....frost that covers the colors of fall with a delicate lace as the day begins, melting quickly in the warmth of the rising sun....leaves that glow like tiny lamps, lit from within......a well worn quilt wrapped over chilly toes, Neil Young on the IPOD, a stack of unread books beside me and a cup of spiced tea for sipping. Simple joys in the glowing days of fall.....may your days be filled with them!
