Paradise...and shade trees....

Paradise and shade are close relatives on a summer day. --Michael P. Garofalo

What a simple joy kind of day this turned out to be! A summer day filled with.... the lusty cry of a baby girl as she wiggled her way into the world with one quick push....an icy cold glass of fresh brewed Tzo tea waiting to counteract the wall of heat and humidity I hit as I left from my 4 hour "on call" shift......no waiting at the check out line at the local grocers.....the taste of fresh cooked fish at Leanne's restaurant on fried fish Friday, our favorite table ready and waiting.....the sight of wildflowers growing under the shade tree planted years ago for us to enjoy, by folks that walked before us......a phone call from the sweetest little 4 year old to tell us all about her "princess" dance camp..... an air conditioner working strong that has this 75 year old house cooled to perfection on a 90 something day with 90% humidity...and a little brown dog that loves to sing along in his own little yodeling way to the tune of "how much is that doggy in the window!". (I'm sure he could have won on the TV show that 's on right now!) May your dog days of summer be filled with simple joys just like these!

You experience what I like to watch on TV....baby's births, always a miracle:)
