The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground.
And this little nut is holding his ground smartly! (Good thing Joe's eyes aren't what they used to be....guess Sam knows just how safe he really is!) It's become an afternoon ritual. He cases the joint...he tries his mightiest...he falls down. He gets back up and tries again. He spends an hour...then decides to snack on what the little birds have left him. Persistent. Obstinate. Creative. And all ours. Thanks, Sam...for the free entertainment on a cold winter afternoon. You are the mighty oak that lives in our yard in winter.
